📄️ A quick intro to Macros
Below are listed the macros (sometimes know as tokens) used by Opticks. Macros are placeholders which will be replaced with actual data when a visit is processed.
📄️ Link data between Opticks and your systems
There are some occasions where you need to link your own data with Opticks individual assessments. This is very helpful if you have some data with your own identifiers (e.g. transaction ids, conversion identifiers...) and you want to cross-reference it with Opticks analyses for an in-deep assessment of a particular transaction of yours. This is done by using the external_id macro.
📄️ Macros for conversion postbacks
The above diagram illustrates how the flow of visits and postbacks is intended to work when you integrate Opticks Firewall into your flow.
📄️ An example of macros for postbacks
All of the different Opticks integrations make it possible to send Opticks all the URL parameters you need in order to report the conversions back to your Traffic Source (also called "Publisher").
